Time art - 11 - initial idea 2

Slow motion perception

In this video i want to show what its like to experience slow motion perception.

When reading about time i came across some debates about wither time was create by humans or if it has always existed. This led me to read more into if time was create by humans, is it perceiver differently by different people.  In the argument that time was created by humans, it was argued that the main reason we need time is for measurement. To calculate how long something will be, what day it is, what the weather will be like but, it is also said that time can alter by the persons perception of it. For example, if you are bored time will seems to go slower or take longer, If you sit and stare at something waiting for it to happen time can stop all together, if you are excited  time can seem to go too fast.
The perception of time that interested me the most, is slow motion. This is when time appears to slow down, for example. When you are in a car crash things appear to move slowly this could be your brain allowing you more time to make decisions to save your life. People have also said to have slow motion perception when they fall in love for the first time, this can be because you are so fixated on them nothing else matters. How ever unless you have experienced it its hard to imagine how it feels.
I also like the idea that some where some one in the world someone is have the same feelings as you but for a completely different reason.

Idea 1 - animation
Have 3 people, in different towns at the same time all experiencing slow motion perception.  All will have a similar style but different story.
All will start with there storys running at a normal pace, as there event happens time slows right down and almost stops how ever the character can still interact with the scene at a normal pace. Whilst it is in slow motion mode images flash up referencing the situation that is happening. After 30 seconds, time speeds back up to make up for they have lost and the character is left confused.
Screen 1 - left - man seeing love of his life
Screen 2 - middle - girl about to die
Screen 3 - right -woman receiving a bad phone call

Idea 2 - animation and video
Another way i could cover the topic of slow motion perception would be to, have one person put into a life threatening situation eg girl being shot and show on one screen the event happening in real time, the second screen showing how it looks to her so everything in slow motion and it suddenly speeding back up and the third screen showing what is going on in her mind .
