H h holes was a serial killer in the 1800s, recently there was a documentary tv show made about him .

This is a good example of how experimental techniques such as re enactment and re appropriation is used in documentaries.  
As h h homes died 200 years ago they had to use re enactment to create clips to add into the show.
The also used old photos and documents as re appropriation to create footage.

i like the way they created the re enactments, as the actor may not have looked like hh homes, they used shillouetes of the actors  or there voices over found images.

as the hotel he killed people in was knocked down years ago they recreated it in cgi.
