Dance - Finding a location

As this is a production kind of thing rather than my job roll i dont really have much to say about it other than why is it so hard to find and all black room. Like were not even looking for a green screen room any more it just need to be black.

We accepted that we got there to late to book out a studio space this term but there seems to be just a general lack or at least people willing to let us film in them.

Weve tried begging people to let us into there booked slots even if its just for a few hours one day, night clubs , schools, theatres, the maltings, ways to turn rooms in uni into black rooms

The world just seems to not want us to film in the style we want to film in the style we want to.

We have come to the decision that we are going to do our last rounds of phone calls  and then change the film.

all though 99% of the stuff we have planned will stay the same no matter what loaction we are in like location really could effect the mood of the film.

All though the dance is the main thing, if we loose the underwater or floating element to it then there isnt really much of the initial concept left, meaning we would needs somewhere equally as picturesque or poetic as the themes we want to represent to still create a film we would be happy with.

Id love to do it in some form of abandoned building as i feel it would look great and compliment the dance really well , how ever int he time we have left this would make this equally as complicated

St andrews church in farnahm has really nice wide open interior which could be a possible location, we could make it more low key and faded and subtle  which would be quite nice.

we could use a white room and bright white lights but then i feel thats to cliché

or just any where that will have us, the camera movement and shots are all baised round the dance so will work in any location and get the best emotion out of the dance, it would just be nice to have some where that suited the film well.
