Avid - Finishing and Output

Once i had finished the editied I wanted to add a title and my credit to the end of the video  for this i used avids title tool. I could have done this in marquee which allows you to create 3d text, rotate and add effects to it but this was not necessary for this video

I created a basic title and used the alignment to put it in the center, when i was finished i saved it to the misc bin and used quick dissolve to make it fade in and out.

I then wanted to put bars/ tone and a clock at the start. To do this i had to make a blank space at the begning so i right clicked on the time line and added a filler.
I then imported the bars and clock.

To get a tone i used the audio tool to generate a tone and spliced it in.

If i had a more complex sequence i could have used a video mix down to flatten all the layer before exporting.

i then changed the start time code to 10:00:00:00 in the sequence bin how ever this is the time the film should start so becuase i have 60 seconds of clocks and bars at the start i need to make it 60 seconds less . So the start time should be 09:59:00:00

I then export the video, the first time i did it i set the project and the out come to 1080p  and it came out all pixilated and dark, i dont know if you can see that well in the image bellow.

I then checked the raster dimensions of the video and it said they were 720x576i , rather than re import the files and change the raster to 1080p i decided to just change the project format to pal which is 720x576 which made the video look a little more like it was filmed in the 90s rather than 2014 but becuase this isnt been screen any where inportant other than to just our class i thought that was fine.

I then exported it as 1080p as that it what it would be screened on and put it in the avid codec
