The outcome of our videos should demonstrate skills in technical and production procedures, be aware of the audience it is made for whilst being professional and engaging with the film.
In the afternoon we were set a task to manipulate 16mm film by scratching on it, changing the colour with dye, cutting sections out and putting them somewhere else to give us an exapmle of work we could create.
Here is the finished outcome of all the classes filmstrips stuck together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbfBCk3xYVU&feature=youtu.be

This gave me a good appreciation to the actual frames of film itself becuase when you do something digital you just take for granted there are 24 frames in a second and thats it but when you have been scratching on a 24 frames for 5 miniutes that second is soon gone on the projector. Vicky how ever made the point that even though it is time consuming to manipulate film by hand it also takes alot of time to make a digital film from scratch.
This made me think of the music video for Sheezus by lilly allen, as this was not inteaded to be in a gallery but be comercial but it has a similar style to the experimental 16mm films we made but by digitally ( i assume digitally ) drawing of the video and changing the collour instead. I think this is a good example of how experimental and mainstream media can work together .
