PTK Studio Shoot - Group meeting 2 and Pre Production schedule

In my previous post i mention that all though we had a general idea of a story we wanted to do, we hadn't quite come up with an ending. After researching and discussing it as a group we came up with this as our final ending.

After the character burst their way out of the jacket, they begin to start frantically tearing away at the walls. After tearing away at a few layers of the wall paper, they then see a crack start to form where they then force there way through the wall. The character then falls down thrown an alice in wonder land rabbit hole style* landing in a futuristic room full of boxes and cubes. on these boxes are footage of previous work from dfsa, in the making video, clips for in lesson. This show cases of the fun and educational things we do in digital film and screen arts. The camera then pans out in the style of easy by kasabian *  showing us filming and the studio space we have been aloud yet again show casing the good points of dfsa. At the end there is a promotional message saying ' if you are interested in taking up a creative course in film , animation and screen arts go to ucreative.ac.uk/ba-film-screen-arts for more information'

*See mood board for reference of styles

Now that we have a completed story we can get on with pre production.

To make sure that everything runs smoothly and we are all keeping on track of the tasks we have to do we have assigned production leaders, this way all work can be divvied equally.

Pre production leader ( producer )  will be done by me, 1 Ad ( on shoot organisation ) will be decided after the work shop in directing as we might find out someone has a hidden tallent, and lead editor/ post producer will be done by nick.

Pre production planning

To balance out work evenly i asked everyone in the group what there ideal job roll would be. The people who said they were interested in post production have not been assigned as many tasks in pre production as they will be doing more work later on in the year.

we have assigned a budget of a maximum of £10 per team member giving us a total budget of around £110, how ever as we have most of the props we need, we wont spend anything near this budget but we  are covered just incase.

Production pack  - Tasks, deadlines and who is working on them
Please email all work to me so i can keep it together in one folder and also post it to the group facebook page so everyone can reference it if they need to.

The dates assigned bellow are for when work needs to be completed by as we need some parts of pre production to be done first to move on with the rest of it, ive put most work to be in for a day before hand in date so if theres any changes we have time to fix them.

11/10/14 - Treatment ( To be done by me)
13/10/14 - First draft of script ( To be done by nick )
15/10/14 - final draft of script ( To be done by nick )

22/10/14 - All pre production work from all members emailed to me so i can print it out and put it in a folder
23/10/14 - Pre production pack handed into Rosie for shoot approval

After shoot approval we will need to start casting an actor and gathering props read for shoot day. We will also have to organise who wants to do which roll on shoot day.

We aim to have everything all clear and organised by the 23/10/14  how ever if there are some small changes that need to be made we arent filming untill the 27/11/14  so we have time to change them.

If any one has any problems, needs help  with pre production email me at lthomas15@student.ucretive.ac.uk
