Q- How can we get the colour correction to look like this ( SEE VIDEO )
- · To get the video to look like its under water its all about adding layers and blending them together to give depth in after effects.
- · Do testing on the edit now even if it just on a still picture so you know how the process works
- · The easiest way to do is In after effects but we can use the special colour correction room as they have aftereffects on it too
- · Use strong lights and make it a bit brighter than you want the final outcome when filming as it will be easier to darken in the edit that way
- · The lighting has to be same in the after effects as in the film
- · Compare the test shots against a real underwater shot to see the difference
- · Get the process right first as it is important
- · Don’t need to fill the whole room with sand we just need enough around the feet then can blend it out too look like the whole floor is sand, like the towel in first choice advert
- · Avoid full body if we can to make it easier or put them on a box so it looks like they are floating

·
Try contact studios that have a suspension rig
as they might help us out with they have some down time and will make it look
more floaty and real.
·
Try get a couple of shots or some bits actually
underwater to add to the realness and
develop skill
·
Look at archive footage for background
·
Do an animatic , easier to plan shots out in
edit
·
Look at better cameras, try a red , high frame
rate + high rez
·
Try onsite higher company explain the film we
are making and what we want to do and they might let us have it for cheep as we
would use them again in the future
Were no going to develop on these things and see what we can do
